Monday featured Amos hanging mistletoe on what turned out to be a swing set, the background a white void.
On Tuesday They tried to kiss while on the swings but missed, against the background of a white void.
On Wednesday they managed to grab hands and slide off the swings to press their groins together, against the background of a white void.
Today we see that EITHER:
1) They've been standing around making out in a public park or their backyard while their kids watch
or
2) They started making out in a public park or their backyard then went home and started making out while their kids watch
Either way their 3-5 year old children (I'm estimating age based on the fact that their heads are just about waist height, or slightly above) want to know if they also can smooch under the mistletoe.
Now, I want to point out that less than a week ago, on Sunday, McEldowney proved that he can draw a small child who isn't utterly terrifying to look upon. And yet here we are, with two utterly alarming inhuman-looking children who could be straight from the set of "The Dark Crystal." And they just... they're just STANDING there, watching.
This is a theme with McEldowney, actually, as seen on 12-19-2021 while they literally hold their parents together as they make out open mouthed, rubbing their groins together, anticipating them "assembling babies." While they don't literally witness it, on 12-25-2022 they speak of Santa in a jaded tone. It's... not a surprise? That he visits? That Edda dresses up as Mrs. Claus to get frisky with her husband in a hallway? "Just won't stop visiting"? Are they commenting on the once yearly visits, or do other people dress up as Santa in their home? Either visitors, or Amos and/or Edda? On 12-26-2022 the indeterminately aged children watch as Edda slides her way down Amos' body sexy style while commenting on just how often their parents go at it.
That's all from just one month.
So the small children ask if THEY can smooch under the mistletoe TOO one day just like mama and dada do and Edda agrees "over my dead body." Which is a pretty stereotypical thing to say except that 1) the one kid looks a little too pleased at the thought and 2) there's a flash-forward strip where the punchline is that their feral teenaged twin daughters need to wear training bras because guys'll think it's hot. I guess that at some point they crossed the rubicon from "pure fragile creatures to be saved from icky men forever" to "fucky time's right around the corner, put them goods on display."
I also want to note that Edda and Amos are from Connecticut. Edda's gran, who helped raise her, is a first generation Austrian-American who speaks German with an Austrian, not English/American, accent. As far as we know, the white void in which Amos and Edda live their lives is in New England and/or New York.
Why in the FUCK are they using the word "mummy"?
